Call for Experts: Expert Committee for ‘Digital Futures for a Smart Europe: A Feasibility Study on Digital Transformation and Green Innovation’
UNESCO is seeking applications to establish an Expert Committee composed of specialists in digital transformation and green innovation, by 19 November 2026.
The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe has launched a new project, ‘ Digital Futures for a Smart Europe: A Feasibility Study on Digital Transformation and Green Innovation, ’ funded by Huawei Technologies. The project aims to strengthen digital transformation and green innovation across South-East Europe and the Mediterranean through evidence-based policy analysis, regional cooperation, and capacity development.
In the framework of the project, UNESCO is establishing an Expert Committee composed of specialists in digital transformation and green innovation. The Committee will serve as the project's scientific and technical advisory body. This will provide strategic guidance to ensure the scientific quality, technical robustness, and policy relevance of its research, country assessments, regional knowledge products, policy recommendations, and capacity-development activities. Committee members will contribute their expertise to shaping these outputs while collaborating with a diverse network of experts to advance regional cooperation and knowledge exchange.
