Tenders are invited for National Tsunami Early Warning System Concession
PROJECT IDENTIFICATION: The project consists of the design, construction, and maintenance of a risk warning and
notification system. This system will alert the entire population in risk or danger zones in the event of a tsunami.
The project is deployed along the Chilean coast to protect specific evacuation areas, defined by SENAPRED according to
tsunami risk variables. These areas must be covered by the acoustic signal from the siren points so that people are alerted by
the system in the event of an emergency. The total number of siren points considered by the project is 1, 029 units, of which
1, 003 are new siren points and 26 are existing siren points, a figure that covers the entire national territory at risk.
This system will be activated remotely, via a primary communication channel and a backup if necessary, from SENAPRED's
regional offices for the siren points in each region, or from SENAPRED's central office in Santiago, which will have access to
all regions and will also be used as a backup
The project includes the upkeep and maintenance of the infrastructure and equipment throughout the duration of the
concession, in accordance with the Technical Standards and Service Levels required in the Bidding Conditions
REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS: The bidding process will be international and may be participated in by natural or
legal persons, national or foreign, considered individually or within a Bidding Group, who meet the requirements and demands
established in the Concessions Law, in the Regulations, and in the Bidding Bases
DELIVERY OF TENDERING BASES AND TECHNICAL BACKGROUND: The Bidding Bases and the technical background of the
project will be available to bidders from the business day following the date of this publication and may be picked up at Morandé
Street No. 115, 12th floor, Santiago de Chile. In addition, the interested party will be provided with an email address to access the
respective digital information, upon electronic transfer to the current account No. 9009868 of Banco Estado in the name of the
Ministry of Public Works, RUT 61.202.000-0, email dcyf.tesoreriamop.nc@mop.gov.cl, indicating the name of the tender ( National
Tsunami Early Warning System Concession) in the transfer. The value to be paid for the Bidding Bases will be $300, 000 + VAT.
CONSULTATIONS: Bidders who have acquired the Bidding Bases may make inquiries regarding them, through written
communications to the General Director of Concessions that must be entered in the Office of Parts of the General Directorate
of Concessions located at Morandé Street No. 115, 11th floor, Santiago, up to 60 (sixty) days before the date of receipt of the
offers and opening of the technical offers
