Tender Are Invited For construction of Katse diversion tunnel No. 2 plugging
The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified contractors for the construction of the Katse diversion tunnel No. 2 plugging, located at the Katse dam.
The scope of work includes:
provision of a rectangular steel bulkhead to the dam low-level outlet, welded into the existing steel-lined sluice gate housing;
concrete backfilling of large chambers;
construction of an anchored approximately 7m diameter reinforced concrete bulkhead;
provision of access to the respective work faces; and,
staff and labour accommodation.
A voluntary information session will take place online on Monday, 27 October 2025, at 11:00. Interested participants should send an email to LHDA procurement at procurement@lhda.org.ls to request the meeting link.
