General procurement notice : Project to Support the Change of Base Year of Congos National Accounts
the Republic of Congo Received Funding From the African Development Bank (afdb) Through the Technical Assistance Fund for Middle-income Countries (fat-pri) Under the Project to Support the Change of Base Year of Congos National Accounts (rebasing).
the Overall Objective of the Project is to Continue the Development of a New Base Year of Congos National Accounts Consistent with the 2008 National Accounting System (2008 Scn). Specifically, This Will Involve Obtaining More Relevant Macroeconomic Statistics for Economic Analysis, Design, Monitoring of Macroeconomic Policies and Decision-making.
The Republic of Congo has received funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) through the Middle-Income Countries Technical Assistance Fund (MIC-TAF) under the Project to Support the Rebasing of Congo's National Accounts (REBASING).
The overall objective of the project is to continue developing a new base year for Congo's national accounts consistent with the 2008 System of National Accounts (SNA 2008). Specifically, this will result in macroeconomic statistics that are more relevant for economic analysis, design, and macroeconomic policy monitoring, and decision-making. The project includes the following components:
Component 1 - Support for the rebasing of the national accounts with the 2008 SNA. This involves the following activities:
• Sub-component 1.1: Development of classifications, study trips, and training in ERETES software (dedicated to the development of national accounts).
• Sub-component 1.2: Conducting various surveys (on margins, NPIs, health, education, etc.), and processing data from major surveys (REGEC, RGPH, EHCVM).
