Request for Express of interest for the Entertainment Quarter Revitalisation Project – Open Tender Process for Grant of Lease – Stage One: Call for Expressions of Interest
nsw Government is Inviting Response From Experienced and Capable Private Sector Proponents Expressing Interest to Partner with Government on a Once-in-a-generation Opportunity to Revitalise the Eq.
the Entertainment Quarter is Situated Within the Centennial Parklands and is Subject to the Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust Act 1983 (cpmpt Act) and the Greater Sydney Parklands Trust Act 2022 (gspt Act). This Tender Process is An Open Tender Process for the Purposes of the Cpmpt Act.
the Open Tender Process is Anticipated to Comprise Two Stages:
stage One: This Invitation for Expressions of Interest (eoi), And
stage Two: Request for Proposal (rfp).
the Nsw Government Has Developed a Framework to Guide Precinct Development, Including a Precinct Vision, Project Objectives and Eq Placemaking Framework.
the Nsw Government (in Its Capacity as Project Sponsor and Landowner) is Open to Considering Proposals That Expand the Land Use Potential of the Site, And/or Increase the Site’s Development Capacity (relative to the Existing Planning Controls), Provided That Such Land Uses Are Consistent with the Statutory Objects of Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust (cpmpt) and Cpmpt Act. the Nsw Government Will Not Support Proposals That Include Residential Development. An Optimal Planning Pathway to Facilitate Implementation of An Agreed Master Plan for the Site Will Be Further Explored During the Rfp Stage.
the Project is Expected to Be Delivered Via a Project Delivery Agreement Between the Cpmpt and the Successful Respondent. Cpmpt Will Also Grant a Lease (or Lease(s)) to the Successful Respondent for a Total Overall Term of Up to 99-years.
