Tenders are invited for sst04 - tunnel & constructions
The tunnel project sst04 is part of the protection of Copenhagen, Gentofte, and Gladsaxe against flooding in connection with heavy rainfall events. The stormwater tunnel functions by directing water from the sewage system directly to the tunnel when there is a high water level in the sewage system due to rainfall events in Copenhagen, Gentofte, Gladsaxe, and Frederiksberg. In cases where the inflow of water does not exceed the tunnels capacity, the water will be stored in the tunnel. When there is capacity again in the sewage system and at the treatment plant, the stored water will be pumped for treatment at the Lynetten treatment plant through a newly established discharge pipe via pumps at the bottom of the shaft at FSK. If the rainfall event exceeds the tunnels capacity, the water will be directed to Oresund via the discharge structure at FSK (the fishing harbor/ship harbor). The existing stormwater network is connected to the stormwater tunnel via structures below ground, the so-called connection structures. One or more connection structures will be established at most of the shafts. At the fishing harbor, a discharge structure and a pumping station will be established, as well as a connection to the existing sewage system at Strandvaenget. The pumping station consists of an underground technical facility with a smaller building above ground. There will be 15 different workplaces. Shafts are connected with 12 tunnel sections. A total of 13 shafts must be constructed, which will be connected with approximately 3.2 km of segment tunnel and about 7 km of pipe jacking tunnel. Connection structures and drainage pipes must be connected to the shafts. Additionally, as preparation for the shaft workplaces, utility relocations must be carried out for the shaft workplaces.
