Tenders are invited for Acquisition of 20 new electric passenger buses, operable in winter conditions, 20 slow charging stations and 3 fast charging stations
Acquisition of 20 new electric buses for passengers, operable in flat conditions, 20 slow charging stations and 3 fast charging stations within the project "modernization of the public passenger transport system in Craiova municipality through the acquisition of electric buses and the expansion of the traffic management system for 2021-2027, project call pr sv/mrj/4//2.8/2023, priority 4 - "sustainable urban mobility", specific objective 2.8 - "promoting sustainable multimodal urban mobility, as part of the transition to a zero carbon dioxide emissions economy" will be carried out according to the requirements of the specifications no. 298863/08.10.2025 revised on 26.01.2026. The public procurement contract aims to purchase 20 new buses with an electric propulsion system approximately 12m long (solo), 20 slow charging stations and 3 fast charging stations, for which the contracting authority has requested non-reimbursable funding according to financing contract no. 657/23.07.2025 within the project "modernization of the public passenger transport system in Craiova municipality through the acquisition of electric buses and the expansion of the traffic management system for 2021/2027, project call pr sv/mrj/4//2.8/2023, priority 4 - "sustainable urban mobility", specific objective 2.8 - "promoting sustainable multimodal urban mobility, as part of the transition to a zero carbon dioxide emissions economy". The general objective of the project is to improve the efficiency of public passenger transport, its frequency and travel times, and the transfer to it from private car transport. It will also aim to make the use of cars a less attractive option economically and in terms of travel times compared to public transport, thus creating conditions for reducing the number of cars and emissions. The specific objective to which the supply of products contributes is to increase the attractiveness of public transport and the percentage of use of this mode of transport, within the modal distribution of trips, by increasing the commercial speed of public transport vehicles, reducing the number of accidents and increasing road safety for all road users.
