GGGI Papua New Guinea invites eligible firms/entities to submit their proposals for a Consultancy Services for Feasibility Studies of Solar Power Projects in Lorengau, Manus Province, Papua New Guinea
PROJECT BACKGROUND:
Papua New Guinea (PNG) is among the countries most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, facing increasing risks to its people, ecosystems, and economy. In response, PNG has made strong commitments under the Paris Agreement, including the submission of its Enhanced Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) and the development of its National Adaptation Plan (NAP). Both documents outline ambitious targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote climate-resilient development, and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. Expanding solar power generation is a key priority to reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels, strengthen energy security, and improve access to affordable, reliable electricity across provinces.
This project is expected to be completed within six (6) months from contract signing.
The tender submission deadline is 11 March 2026 at 16:00 (KST, Korean Standard Time).
If any bidder requires clarification on the ToR or any part of the tender documents, GGGI will be happy to respond, provided that requests are received no later than seven (7) days prior to the submission deadline (i.e. by 16:00 on 5 March 2026 (KST)).
