Tenders are invited for Acquisition of online storage systems
The procurement concerns devices related to network storage solutions (NAS) as well as their installation and support services. The procuring unit is the University of Helsinki, and in addition to the procuring unit, the University of Eastern Finland, the University of Oulu, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Tampere University, and the University of Turku participate in the procurement. Each procuring unit will acquire a suitable package based on the results of the competition, which includes one (or more) network storage systems and the associated software and services. Each procuring unit already has one or more network storage systems in use, which are used to provide services for the research, teaching, and administration needs of the higher education communities represented by the procuring units. The storage systems are typically owned by each procuring unit and are located in their own data centers. The storage systems typically have a lifespan of about five years, but the lifespan of the data in the network storage service can be quite long. The procurement is divided into four different areas, and the comparison criterion for the competition is the most economically advantageous price. The price has been used as the only comparison criterion for overall economic advantage because quality has been taken into account in comprehensive minimum requirements. The client will select the most economically advantageous providers from areas B-D as framework agreement suppliers, and a framework agreement will be made with these providers for four (4) years, with the possibility of extending the contract for two optional years, one year at a time. Each participating procuring unit will make its own contracts and will be responsible for them during the contract period. The draft framework agreement is attached to the request for proposals.
