Tenders Are Invited for Recruitment of an Environmental and Social (E&S) Safeguards Specialist for the Eastern Region Agricultural Value Chains Development Project
The Government of Angola has received Financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Eastern Region Agricultural Value Chains Development Project and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this loan to payments under the contract for recruitment of an Environmental and Social (E&S) Safeguards Specialist for the Eastern Region Agricultural Value Chains Development Project.
The main duties and responsibilities of the Environmental and Social (E&S) Safeguards Specialist include the provision of technical assistance to the PIU and Implementing Partners (IPs) in ensuring the compliance and implementation of Safeguards strategies and adhering to the general procedures and guidelines of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in order to ensure quality output of Project interventions. He/She shall be responsible for overall management, oversight and monitoring of implementation of environmental measures and will also ensure the timely delivery of the E&S expected outcomes in the whole Project operations. He/She shall ensure safeguard instruments are integrated in subproject operations.
