Tenders are invited for Stakcín water treatment intensification
The subject of the contract is the intensification of the water treatment plant in Stakcín. The Eastern Slovak Water Supply System, for which the water treatment plant in Stakcín provides drinking water from the Starina water reservoir, supplies key parts of the districts of Humenné, Snina, Vranov nad Toplou, Prešov, Svidník, and Stropkov in the Prešov region, as well as the districts of Košice - City and Košice - Surroundings in the Košice region. In 2014, 934,402 inhabitants were supplied by the water supply systems of the Eastern Slovak Water Supply System. In the following years, a significant intensification of the development of public water supply systems in the area managed by VVS, a.s. Košice is expected due to the implementation of water management constructions with the help of EU financial resources. The construction addresses a fundamental reconstruction and intensification of the water treatment plant with the aim of implementing radical changes to the technological equipment, which also require changes in the building structures during the full operation of the work. The Eastern Slovak Water Company a.s. Košice - HS VS Starina - Košice will continue to operate the water treatment plant in Stakcín, which has the authorization to operate water treatment plants and distribute drinking water.
