Tender Are Invited For construction of the following
Project: Garfield Township Grand Traverse Commons – North Trail Loop
The Project includes the following Work:
1. Construction of a 1.35-mile universally accessible trail at northern portion of the Grand Traverse
Commons Recreation and Natural area.
a. The construction will include portions of new 8-ft and 10-ft wide trail and rehabilitation
/ enhancement to existing 8-ft and 10-ft wide sections of trail.
b. Trail improvements includes the following:
i. Approximately 3, 000 LF new 8-ft and 10-ft wide crushed gravel trail
ii. Approximately 3, 000 LF rehabilitated 8-ft and 10-ft wide crushed gravel trail
iii. Approximately 600 LF prefabricated boardwalk sections including a small stream
crossing with safety railings
iv. Prefabricated Pedestrian Foot Bridge
c. Trail construction includes all associated earthwork, rest areas and amenities, timber
retaining walls, riparian controls, culverts, SESC controls, and restoration with native
vegetation
