Tenders are invited for Framework contract magnetic tape cassettes 2026
The subject of this tender is a framework agreement for the procurement of magnetic tape cartridges as well as cleaning cartridges. Our company currently mainly uses the two existing cartridge archive systems of the type IBM TS4500 with the magnetic tape cartridges of the type IBM 3592 advanced cartridges as well as the corresponding IBM 3592 cleaning cartridges. In the near future, the additional use of LTO data magnetic tape cartridges and LTO cleaning cartridges is also expected. The calls from the framework agreement are made for cartridges for possible use by - GSI GmbH, - its branches Helmholtz Institute Mainz and Helmholtz Institute Jena, as well as - Fair GmbH. The calls for the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam will be made by their area themselves. To give an impression of the order of magnitude, the potentially possible call volume is set at a maximum possible total runtime of 48 months.
