General Procurement Notice For: Gfpp Botswana Health Emergency Preparedness, Response and Resilience Project Using the Multi-phase P
The Ministry of Health has received financing in the amount of US$3 million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the GFPP Botswana Health Emergency Preparedness, Response and Resilience Project Using the Multi-Phase Programmatic Approach , and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The project will include the following components:
Component 1: Strengthening Health System Preparedness and Resilience-(US$34.4 million: US$34.1 million IBRD; US$0.3 million LPF1)
Component 2: Improving Detection of and Response to Health Emergencies- (US$5million: US$2.3 million IBRD; US$2.7 million LPF1)
Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (Seventh Edition, dated September 2025), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations. After project negotiations, the World Bank shall arrange the publication on its external website of the agreed initial procurement plan and all subsequent updates once it has provided a no objection.
Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available, in World Bank’s external website, alongside the other publication channels already listed in the notice, namely the Ministry of Health Facebook Page, the Botswana Daily News, and official Gazette.
