Tenders Are Invited for FPV design build contract
The Public Utilities Board of the Republic of Kiribati invites sealed bids by 8 July from eligible bidders for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a floating PV plant and BESS including 12-month O&M for installed facilities.

The contracted work is to be financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under the South Tarawa Renewable Energy Project (Phase 2). Open Competitive Bidding (OCB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage, Two-Envelope procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the bidding document.
The entire scope of the plant and services offered under this OCB are being bid through a single bid document with two components in it. The plant and services will be awarded to the successful bidder under two separate contracts, the number and identification of which are:
Contract No. 1: Kiribati South Tarawa Renewable Energy Project (Phase-2), (STREP-2-01-rebid) a design-build contract of the floating PV plant and BESS project and other items based on the requirements of the employer, and Contract No. 2: O&M Services for STREP2-P-01-rebid – a bespoke contract defining the parties’ obligations for the operation and maintenance of the facilities under contract No. 1 for a period of twelve (12) months following their operational acceptance. The design, supply, installation and commissioning provided under this contract shall be completed within 460 days from the date of contract effectiveness. The O&M period shall be 360 days from operational acceptance.
