the Republic of Mali Has Obtained Loans and Donations From the African Development Bank Group (afdb) for the Partial Financing of the Bamako 225 Kv North Loop (pbnb) Project. the Company Energie Du Mali Sa (edm-sa) is the Project Execution Agency.
the Project Aims to Strengthen the Electricity Supply to the Localities of Bamako, Kati, Koulikoro and Their Surrounding Areas By Ensuring Reliable, Sustainable and Affordable Access to Electricity. It Aims to Strengthen the Financial Viability of Edm-sa with the Injection of Electrical Power From Cheaper Production Sources (safo and Kambila Solar Power Plants, Interconnections with Guinea and Sogem, Kénié Hydroelectric Dam, Etc.) It Provides for the Looping of the Htb Network, the Construction and Extension of High Voltage Substations and Lines, as Well as the Electrification of New Neighborhoods for the Connection of Around 10 000 New Households and Productive Users for the Creation of Income-generating Activities.
