Tender description : General Notice For Procurement : Investment Planning Project and Effective Governance for the Sustainable Satisfaction of Water Uses in the Mono Basin the Development Objective of the Pgwater-mono Project is to Contribute to Sustainably Ensuring the Satisfaction of Water Uses Through Planning, Improved Governance, Water Hydro-diplomacy for Peace, Investment Planning and the Mobilization of Significant Financial Resources for the Operationalization of Iwrm, the Reduction of the Impacts and Harmful Effects of Climate Change on Water Resources and Associated Ecosystems as Well as the Improvement of the Living Conditions of Populations in the Mono Basin. The Mono River Basin Authority (MBA), comprising two (2) member countries (Benin and Togo), has received a grant from the African Development Bank/African Water Facility (AWF) to finance the Investment Planning and Effective Governance Project for the Sustainable Satisfaction of Water Uses in the Mono River Basin (PGEau-Mono). This project aims to achieve the following main objectives: The development objective of the PGEau-Mono project is to contribute to ensuring the sustainable satisfaction of water uses through planning, improved governance, water diplomacy for peace, investment planning, and the mobilization of significant financial resources for the operationalization of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), the reduction of the adverse impacts of climate change on water resources and associated ecosystems, and the improvement of living conditions for populations in the Mono River Basin. The PGEau-Mono project comprises the following three (3) components: ? Component 1. Development of the Mono River Basin Water Management Plan (SDAGE) and its supporting documents: This component aims to provide the Mono River Basin Authority (ABM) and the riparian states with a strategic planning tool for the sustainable, collaborative, and integrated management of water resources and ecosystems in the basin (reference framework, decision support, prioritization of measures and investments); ? Component 2. Implementation of pilot demonstration projects: The objective of this component is to demonstrate, through concrete actions, the feasibility and effectiveness of local solutions for sustainable water management and climate adaptation, with performance monitoring and knowledge sharing for replication; ? Component 3. Project management, coordination, and monitoring and evaluation: This component aims to ensure efficient, transparent, and participatory management, in accordance with the project guidelines.
