Solarization work project at the National Public Health Laboratory located in Moroni
The Comoros Islands, a small island state in the Indian Ocean, remain particularly vulnerable to health risks. Faced with these challenges, the Comorian government, in collaboration with its international partners, is intensifying its efforts to strengthen surveillance and the fight against diseases.
In this context, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) recently provided funding to support Mpox monitoring and response actions. This initiative covers several essential sectors: vaccination, active surveillance and laboratory quality, early detection of cases and contacts, communication, etc.
The main objective is to strengthen local capacities at all levels, with an emphasis on project resilience and response to emergencies, particularly within the framework of the UNICEF health programme.
In this context, installation and connection work for solar panels is planned. This involves implementing the solarization of the national laboratory in order to guarantee sustainable access to electrical energy, thus ensuring the supply of the technical platform as well as the administrative area of ??the laboratory.
By this call for tenders, Companies registered in the Union of the Comoros, and which have the skills in the field of supply and installation of solar panels as well as all the equipment necessary for the proper functioning of the system, including electrical connections for the current electrical panel with sufficient experience, capable of being able to prove solid references for similar services are invited to submit their best offer to UNICEF before 06/30/2026 at 11:59 p.m.
