Expression of interest for Consultancy Services for Feasibility Study of the Proposed Poultry Value Chain Development Project
the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Has Requested Support From the African Development Bank (afdb) to Prepare the Ethiopia Poultry Value Chain Development Project (e-pvdp), a Proposed Investment Operation Included in Ethiopia’s Adf-17 Pipeline with An Indicative Financing Envelope of Usd 69 Million.
the E-pvdp is Expected to Contribute to Improved Food and Nutrition Security and Livelihoods By Increasing Poultry Productivity and Production, Raising Household Consumption of Eggs and Poultry Meat, Creating Jobs and Business Opportunities—particularly for Women and Youth—and Increasing Incomes for Participating Value Chain Actors. Indicative Targets in the Project Concept Include Creation of Up to 200,000 Direct Jobs (with Priority to Women and Youth), An Increase in Participating Household Incomes of About 40%, and Improved Nutrition Outcomes Through Increased Household and School Consumption of Eggs/poultry Products.
